  2. Jon,
If it’s not too much trouble, would you mind changing the link to my Puma and Jaguar story to http://mazzz-in-leeds.com/2009/10/fridayflash-puma-and-jaguar-save-the-planet/

It’s *really* not the end of the world if you can’t be bothered, though!

Delighted to be included in this :-)

  3. John Wiswell says:

Man, I’ve been out of the loop. Like Mazz, I’m flattered to be nominated for this. Cheers, all!

  4. Sam says:

Thanks Jon for all the effort you’ve put into this. I am honoured and humbled to be nominated, and in such great company too! :D

All, FYI: Polls on WordPress are new to me, so I may not know all the settings and formatting yet. One of the entries has suddenly gone bold in the poll, despite the fact that I did not make it bold. If I can find a way to set it back to normal I will. Rest assured I remain firmly neutral in this poll. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

  6. Linda says:

Thank you Jon for all you do for fridayflash. And thank you for whoever nommed my SILVER BULLET – I’m honored to be included amongst these great stories — and story tellers.

I’m sorry about the bolded entry — didn’t do it — swear! Maybe it was my new puddy cat ;^)

    Peace, Linda

  7. John Wiswell says:

Linda, which entry do you see as bolded? I wonder if people don’t see whichever entry they pick as the bolded one.

  9. First Foot, by Sam, gets my vote!

  10. For what it’s worth, none of the choices were bold prior to my voting. After I hit the vote button my choice became bold. I reloaded the page and the same choice was in bold. Hope his helps solve the mystery.

    • JMStrother says:

Ah, that may explain it all. While I have yet to vote for any story, I did edit the link for one of the stories, and that is the one I see as bold. I suspect it may be the WordPress way of helping those of us with short term memory issues (like me!). Thanks, Chris.

  11. Wow, thanks for the nomination for the Great Horned Owl, that’s one of my favourite Friday Fables too. Genuinely, I could only be happier if I’d won ;)

  13. Ok silly question but we’re only supposed to vote ONCE right? If I wear a disguise can I come back? SO HARD TO CHOOSE…but I did…

    :0)

    • JMStrother says:

Yes, you are only supposed to vote once. This is my first WordPress poll, so I’m not sure how well it enforces that. But it is the rule I set in the settings.

  15. This was a very difficult choice – I wanted to vote for them all! I know what you mean about WordPress polls – I’ve had issues with them myself.
    Great stories, all!
